STUKA - Junkers Ju 87 B, Stab II./StG 1, Eastern Front 1941/42
built by Hans-Jürgen Moser (1:5)
Yes, yes - I know, what has RC got to do on a plasticmodel construction
site ? When Hans-Jürgen Moser contacted me to get information about
winter camouflage painting of an Ju87, as he liked to build this airplane
as RC-model in measures 1:5, I even thought (as an plasticmodel constructor):
RC-models only have an approx. similarity with the model, how might this
turn out.
Enclosed to his request was a photo of his Ju52 model on flight and at ground.
If I hadn't known this being an RC-model I would have thought it for the
original Ju52. Months later I received a photo of this unbelievable Ju87
- I was speechless. Luckily Hans-Jürgen agreed to publish the photos,
as - even this is a plasticmodel construction site where otherwise nothing
is found of RC - I couldn't resist. Have a look yourself !

I have started my flying
passion with plasticmodel construction and never get tired of
it since then. First I build the model in plastic and afterwards
I start calculating and drawing. My living room is filled up
with models, very much to the annoyance of my wife. Now and
then the models lose their beauty by dusting them off.
Just now I'm constructing in rule 1:48. My latest jobs are Ju88
G (Nightfighter) and Heinkel 219 (Nightfighter). I shall not
manage to get as fine results as you have as I'm too impatient
for that. Therefore I construct in larger sizes. Thanks to my
old Airfix construction set 1:24 my STUKA was growing. Then
3- to 5- models in side view. Has one more of them, one recognizes
how they diverse of each other. You'll probably know this problem.
Due to many photos I have corrected a lot of faults and made
notes about them on the side view that later on constructing
valuer have something to search for. Or it might help even to
digress them off my constructing sins;--)))))
